We Wonder, 'IS THAT ALL?'
Life has so many ups and downs, we wonder,'IS THAT ALL,'
disappointments, heartaches, tears, build up regret's wall.
Past hurts harbor in pools of memories, insisting to stay,
we need to forgive and forget to bring us a brighter day.
Hopes and dreams, hover just below life's divided seams,
trying to come forth, chasing escaped warm sun beams.
Searching for happiness, along with sweet loving fantasy,
wishing to find someone with whom to share life's reality.
Emerging from darkness that cripples and slowly destroys,
listening to comforting music, not just senseless noise.
Increasing faith in things good, honest, and inspiring
keeping away from danger, evil, and enemies conspiring.
Reaching for higher expectations of a much brighter day
not letting past failure and helplessness get in the way.
Walking toward the goal, others have set for us to meet
hoping for a world filled with contented peace so sweet.
Gathering moonbeams to carry in open bottom shallow pail
scattering so others can find them and continue to prevail.
Always desiring the best for all those I call my friends
remaining together close connected until our journey ends.
