Love Whispers

Hunched beneath a moonless night
I dug
your soft flesh warm as memory has faded
Dear love I heard you whisper
I'm here though deeply disposed
why have you filled my life in spirit for I
buried you behind the moon long ago
its valentines month and only a few days shy
of when we fell in love
now tell me, for I have traveled far
why have you forced me to retrace aback from such horizons
knowing I was dammed as a terminally ill child
vanquished of all hope
and bland to fairy tales.

Our demise changed this boy
understand I know better now
love became a shade of red within my eyes
the day I laid you to rest
now that I'm here
I suppose I will stay
remembering warmth of sun so bright
On Valentines Day.
