Our Forever
The specks of the night
shown brightly
as a handful of
lily petals
scattered throughout
the heavens.
The moon glowed on
as if to be the leader
for the flock
in search of the forever.
The stillness
was alarming as we
lay in the field
and breathed our
innermost fantasies.
It told of our dreams
and aspirations
in a way
most similar to those
of the
evening candles.
The mood is enhanced
by the feeling of your
hand in mine
and your heart beating
to the melody of
our song.
The carpet of the field
offers us
the ride to our forever,
all we need do is
bond our hearts.
That overwhelming feeling
of being lifted
into another
world washes over us
like a
hungry wave.
A wave that reaches out
for the shore and
gains it’s
possession for all eternity
and even more.
Shall we lie back and
ride with this dream
into our
long lost forbidden land
of joy and love?
Shall we take our hearts
in our hands and
soar along
into our passionately awaited
ecstasy, forever?
This is my gilt edged invitation
