The Goodwill Angels

So many lost, so many forlorn
So much heartache hidden deep
Deep in the valleys of our souls
We have to let go to move on

Somehow we need to learn to trust
Learn to trust again the knowledge
There are people out there
Those who mean you goodwill

Give them an entrance, a key
Perhaps a gate left unclosed
They will slip right in quietly
When you're not looking

Listening to your every word
Sharing away your tears
Easing your fears
They care

They must be earthly angels
Sent only from God above
Hearts begin beating in sync
They understand

They feel your pain, your sorrow
The anguish that rips your heart
Let them reside there
Allow them to heal you

You have nothing to lose
Nothing but yourself
Clasp your hands in prayer
And pray together

The sadder journeys in life
Need not be traveled alone
Remember the goodwill angels
Let them come too

Written especially for AlwaysMyWords
Private Challenge
Using the phrase
'those who mean you goodwill'
