Never Alone
A promise was given long, long ago,
That life would be hard with heartaches and woe,
And though the night be filled with tears,
Hope would be endure to heal each care.
Never alone, this promise is true,
From One whose love is always true;
He may not be seen, but never fear,
His eyes are watching with loving care.
Father and mother may let you down,
Friends may depart and never be found;
Life may crumble and dreams fade away,
But His love is forever and here to stay.
Flowers may fail with no blooms to hold,
Money may flee and leave you cold,
Health may wane as the body grows old,
But His love is greater than purist gold.
He is strength when strength is gone,
He is hope when you don't have a song,
He is life when darkness shrouds,
He is the way when lostness beclouds.
Unseen He may be and silent at times,
But each cry is heard, each prayer sublime,
His life is light turning night to day,
You are never alone when to God you pray.
