Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Though Forgiven

Carry my memories back through the past,
back to those time which were almost forgot,
when they predicted our love could not last,
now validated...it seems we did not.
That special day when he asked me to wed,
in the distance, mandolins, soft playing,
those words of love in sweet manner he said,
not one doubt was he ever betraying.
Years of together, two sharing the load;
richer, poorer, in sickness and in health,
no indication marked end of the road,
a thief in the night just crept in with stealth.
Seems it takes forever, my heart, to heal,
though long forgiven, the pain I still feel.
