Reconciled

A puzzling conundrum, baffling one and all
life is but a fleeting moment in the scheme of things to men
well he may be nurtured and well he may be born
lived out his years but saw no man his equal
is this the reason wars are fought, is this the reason why
one tries to do his level-best but finds he cannot
which makes one wonder why it is, the humblest of men
blesses those he lives amongst by being what he be
others, being reconciled, regard themselves as brothers.
