Once We Danced

When once we danced
On rainbows pillow
Warm evening’s persuasion
Requested our breath

Surely love dances slowly
In young hours of enchantment
Moving silently within
This diffident waltz at twilight

~~~~~*****~~~~~
Feel the colors of my heart, love
May the darkness rule my eyes
Feel the heartbeat of tomorrow
Hear the whispers of a sigh
Touch this face most gentle
Teach me how to smile
Show me, my love, your existence
Make this moment all worthwhile
Take away a thousand tears
Supernal love shall move inside
Where loneliness once was anchored
It shall recede in evenings tide
night lights in the harbor
awaits your arrival...
