Head over Heels

Who would have known, on that first day,
How feelings could have grown so fast,
Both had been hurt from ones they'd loved
And memories easily haunt from the past,

But new beginnings are often a surprise,
They can appear from out of the blue,
So unexpected, they'll grow, and deepen,
And astonish with emotions so new.

But often when two people meet,
It can be hard to understand the signs,
Each needs to know how to interpret the clues,
You might say, “Read between the lines”,

For openness is so important,
When two people want to know,
Everything they can about the other,
It’s vital for a relationship to grow,

Friends become more than just friends,
Feelings develop in leaps and bounds,
For when two people fall head over heels,
I love you Feels better than it sounds.
