Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Grounded

Determination grew in your youth
Never straying from hopes and dreams
Thoughts never hid in a back booth
No apparent signs of frayed seams

College seemed to lift you slightly
Reality became hidden beneath the fun
Your footing slipping among the flighty
Struggling to make your battle won

Wisdom brought back your strength
Brighter realities came into focus
Dreams returned at a great length
An awareness of life not being hocus pocus

Your strong heart sensing you're grounded
Wind not strong enough to topple you
No longer feeling a pain of being wounded
Hopes quickly returning full circle

Holding your ground you will survive
Not allowing storms to hold you back
Pushing away your sorrows in life
Each new day bringing courage you don't lack
