Get Rid Of The Advertisements

my raindrop

we walked separate paths
to meet there

chased the mirage of passion
shouldering borrowed smiles
and hidden hesitancies
in a backpack of unfinished rhyme

amazing - all it took
was a serendipitous tryst
to help put memories
back into focus - -
ones we were sure had fallen
into the black hole
of time gone by

when it rains
trembling leaves catch raindrops
and become strong again - -
you were my raindrop
