The Promise of Love
Our hearts unite in beat
in twilight time we meet
love has been expressed
passionately we pressed
between soft satin sheets
Rose scent candles burn low
sighes from love’s afterglow
when your mouth whispers of
the promise made by love
It’s then I understand
why the touch of your hand
draws me so into you
and passion burns anew
I melt in secret places
lifted by your embraces
into bright realms on high
we kiss and our hearts fly
On golden wings of love
we soar so high above
It all becomes so clear
of why we both are here.
