Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Poet Tree
An unfinished line...
but a starting point
for what may be memorable verse;
not shelved nor trashed
(to disappoint)
though it may go from passe worse.

Why waste a perfectly good idea,
an original turn of phrase.
You'd never know,
by reading them
which lines
...had seen better days.

I've always been one
to gather up threads,
weaving them into the whole.
It's better by far
than watching them fray,
leaving ladders a vulnerable soul.

I achieved those goals
set for myself,
even lifting the bar a tad;
not self-aggrandisement,
nor is it boast,
but I made it
and, oh boy,
...I'm glad.
