To Be In Your Presence
As wishes flail freely upon the wind
Dreams sail along on wide open sea
I'd wish I could hear you say aloud, my Lord
'My child, come unto me'
To be in Your presence only for a moment
It would be such an awesome thing
Just to touch the hand, wash the feet
Of my forgiving Lord, my heralded King
I know, in all good time, I shall see You
Yet, in the meantime, You are invisible
And that's okay if it has to be that way
But if I were to see You, how incredible
It's hard to believe in something unseen
But pertaining to You, it's a different story
With all the sacrifice and love You've given
I know You're for real, Lord, in all Your glory!
