Dancing Fool

Now he looked very handsome
When he walked through that door
And surprised all those ladies
Whom he'd not seen before

His cowboy boots were shiney
His jeans were creased just right
His cowboy shirt was colorful
Of course his hat was white

He had a big brass buckle
Size of a dinner plate
His hair was crisp and curly
His smile was really great

He slowly ambled over
Then sat down at the bar
He drawled ' What time's the dancing
Thats what I come in fur'

Well he had his pick of partners
When the band began to play
Each lady he'd hold tightly
And shimmy , shake and sway

Then when the dance was over
He'd see them to their seat
Smile sweetly and say ' Thank you! '
And another one he'd greet

Well the women grew excited
For he had caused a stir
And wanted just to leave with him
They didn't care what for

He flirted and they giggled
They sent him drinks galore
And everybody wondered
Which one he'd settle for

But he just came for dancing
Just that and nothing more
And when the dance was over
He walked right out that door

They never saw that stranger
Back in that bar again
But sometimes they still hanker for
That brown eyed dancing man.
