Get Rid Of The Advertisements

The Sun and the Wind

The proud wind came to the sun
He said, I will make a bet with you
See the man walking with his coat?
I bet I can blow it off before you do

The sun smiled and said, okay
We both get one half hour
Okay, said the wind lets play
Can I go first and show my power?

The man was slowly walking along
The wind began to start to blow
He buttoned his coat and walked faster
The wind laughed and really let go

The sun watched behind the clouds
The wind just blew and blew
The man was glad he had his coat
He hurried along as dark clouds grew

Time was starting to slip away
The wind was frantic and howled
The man clung ever tighter and tighter
While the mighty wind seemed to growl

The man seemed to almost run
Thunder pounded and the wind cried
The man wrapped his arms around his coat
Finally the sun told the wind, time

The wind gave a sullen and angry glance
Below the man felt the wind relent
The cold day now started too change
The man slowed his pace as he went

The sun appeared through the clouds
The chilly breeze begin to feel warm
The man started unbuttoning his coat
He looked up and said thank you Lord

Soon the clouds turned to clean white
The darkness left and blue skies shined
The man begin to slowly take off his coat
The sun looked at the wind and sighed

The man started to sing a sweet song
The sun turned to the tired wind
Coldness makes a man cling tighter
Warmth makes a man your friend

He walked along with his coat on his arm
Admiring the fine day and all of its charm
