A young man, a preacher, he was called to be
Lord, I'm so humble, but so glad you called on me
Son, you are chosen by me, the gospel to preach
Bring the souls to me, they will be hard to reach
Lord, you said go my son, spread the word miles around
Preach the gospel to the folks in those country towns
There is so much wrong that needs to be right, you will see
Preach from the Bible and have faith in me
There's ultimate choices here on earth for the soul to win
Because the devil is at his work, deceiving the people to sin
Please Lord, let him bring the message as he talks
The sermon that he brings with the Bible as he walks
