Bread Pudding

BREAD PUDDING

Ingredients:

2 cups whole milk (or 2 cups half & half)
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark, depending on taste preference)
3 eggs
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups bread, torn into small pieces
1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Directions:

Step One:
In a medium saucepan, over medium heat
You will begin this most delicious treat
Heat the milk until a film forms on top
Add the butter until melted, then stop
Cool this mixture then to luke warm
The outcome will surely be a charm

Step Two:
Combine sugar, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla
To beat it by hand could possibly kill ya
So use an electric mixer on medium speed
Just for one minute and not to exceed
Then slowly add the milk mixture from above
Stir it round and round with all your love

Step Three:
To have it finished already I'm sure you wish
Place the bread in a lightly greased cassserole dish

Step Four:
Sprinkle the bread with raisins, if desired
Pour the batter on top before it's expired <--- joke

Step Five:
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 to 50 minutes
Or at least until set if you're going nutz

Finally Step Six:
SERVE HOT, I think not, just warm to the touch
With a scoop of vanilla ice cream, you'll love it very much

OR

Bread Pudding Sauce:
You can mix a cup of whole milk, two Tbsp. of butter
One Tsp. vanilla, One third cup granulated white sugar
One Tbsp. of flour and a little dash of salt all together

Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for three minutes or four
Set aside for five minutes then pour on warm bread pudding
In no time, all your guests will be begging you for more
