Pieces

Pieces

Time fades into missing pieces
Of life left behind and scattered
Debris of dreams and thoughts undone

And uncertainty releases
The tethers of moments tattered
Drifting, drifting, becoming one

Memories keep, pain decreases
Edges smooth and dull once shattered
Windows flung wide by death's talon

Wounds heal as the bleeding ceases
In soul long worn, heart long battered
Eyes open to praise future's sun

Time has let gathered pieces go
As love whispers what I must know
