Whisper Softly

Whisper softly near the roses
So not a petal falls.
They are fragile, living wonders.
I treasure them all.

Their life span is very short.
But, oh so wonderful.
Whisper softly near the roses.
Make it meaningful.

When winter winds blow cold
And the bushes look forlorn.
Whisper softly to the roses
Beware, the prickly thorn.

Remember, too, that summer time
Will bring forth buds anew.
Whisper softly near the roses,
They will comfort you.
