TRANQUILITY OF DARKNESS

In this place I call my haven, I love the darkness of the night,
Where only the stars and the moon are sources of light;
The music made by the noise of insects that abound,
Bring calmness to a troubled and wounded heart,
Make me forget all my pains and hurts.
When pain is unbearable and tears are uncontrollable,
The moon and the stars would shyly hide beneath the gray sky
It seems that heavenly body knows what I am going through;
Wind would whisper to my ears “go on child, rest your weary
heart and touch the tranquility of darkness in this paradise.”
I would lay my body in a hammock hung by my favorite tree,
Sleep the pain away with the lullaby sung by the river nearby;
When dawn comes with the promises of a new day,
Tranquility of darkness truly does an Anesthetic job.
