Carnival Time

Pennies jingle in my pockets, it's Carnival time.
Way up high above the treetops, fair-goers ride,
On Ferris wheels and in Tilt-a-whirls.
Oh blessed merriment for boys and girls.

I love to ride the old Merry-go-round.
Bright-colored steeds prance up and down.
Please Lord, take them all, take all my cares.
There's excitement and magic at the County Fair.

The oh's and aw's and happy blue skies
When pink clouds of Cotton candy fill my eager eyes.
There's popcorn vendors, Clown's with red hair.
I'm spending my day at the County Fair.
