Totally...Tropically...Alone!

My first aim is make peace,
with that entity above.
All my inner fears release,
pray he bestows his love.

Companionship's not mine,
and I recognise my plight.
I'm sure I'll do just fine,
if my reasoning is right.

Priorities in mind,
fresh water, next for me.
Solid sustenance I'd find,
fresh fruit plucked from a tree.

A shelter I would build,
a structure light but strong.
Basic needs then all fulfilled,
for my stay...however long...

Basic fitness I'd maintain,
but improve it with each day.
On a 'workout' route I'd train,
any weather, come what may.

Moderation in all things,
the code of life I'd keep.
I'd accept what each day brings,
and be tired enough for sleep.

Standing in the moonlight glow,
whether full or in a crescent.
Pray, my gratitude to show,
with honour ever present.

All the simple things in place,
improvements I'd commence.
Every effort I'd retrace,
time spent, no real expense.

Having shown I could survive,
I really do believe,
when rescue would arrive,
I'd be content to leave...
