Pluggin' That Hole

There's nothing I'd like better
Than to plug up that oil spill hole
Because it's ripping the heart out of us
And playing havoc with our souls

So to fill it up, I'd have to toss in
Baggy britches worn below the butt
And maybe just for some good measure
All those magazines filled with smut

Next I'd recall all the Hondas
That have endangered many lives
Then drive them into the Gulf of Mexico
So our shrimpers can survive

There's volumes of red tape to be had
I'm certain no one would miss it a bit
Just toss it in that dang blasted hole
We could probably fill it up with it

And how about those lending institutions
The ones who foreclosed on our homes
Oh and we could gather up all we could find
Of those little Travelocity gnomes

I'd collect this seasons future hurricanes
Toss 'em in to churn things around
My goodness, was that a burp I heard
The earth just made a gosh awful sound

Okay, everything is pretty settled in now
There's just one tiny sliver left to fill
I think Osama Bin Laden from Afghanistan
He would very nicely fit the bill

Now you don't have to pat me on the back
I just did what any American would do
I've filled that hole with things we don't need
I double dare ya to tell me that ain't true
