Breath Of Dawn
Night's curtain is slowly lifted.
From the stars and moon beyond.
In this beautiful solitude I see,
The sunrise, the breath of dawn.
The dawning of a new day.
The world will rise and shine.
Everything is as it should be
By God's own design.
Birds sing their woodland songs.
Flowers rise to greet the day.
The lovely dawn, the sunrise,
Keeps all my cares at bay.
Down on my knees in gratitude,
Lord, hear my reverend prayer.
Thank you for another day,
And for always being there.
Here in the portals of my heart,
To your side I'm drawn.
Lord, walk with me this fine day.
In praise of the breath of dawn.
