Get Rid Of The Advertisements

When The Chips are Down

You flounder, like a ship without a rudder,
as aimless as a leaf without a breeze,
dabbling with fairies and the occult,
while one hand holds a Bible, if you please!

I judge you not my friend, but love you dearly,
concerned about the masters you may serve.
*Man cannot serve two masters, it is written;
if you're heading God's direction, do not swerve.

Dazed and confused, you have a foot in both camps,
is that to cover bases...just in case?
make a choice now, let your eyes be turned to Jesus.
When the chips are down, seek only His dear face.

I'll stand beside you, that's what friends are made of,
to encourage, to support and lend you strength.
In the final call, it's you'll be called to answer,
for judgment comes to all of us, at length.

* Matthew 6:24
