LAUGHTER HELPED

Nick names, my dad gave:
Daddy called me Alfonzo.
Why, I do not know.

Funny man, dad was.
I guess that`s why I`m funny.
I can be at times.

Other names dad gave:
He ask for cat heads: biscuits.
We laughed at his names.

We called ourselves names,
Some names, you don`t want to hear.
Nothing bad of course.

''No dumping'' trash signs,
The baby called ''No dumplings.''
That really got laughs!

We had our problems.
But laughter helped get us through,
With love and respect.
