Giving Thanks to God this Morning
Setting on the patio in the morning breeze
listening to the birds sing, feeling at ease.
God is good, He gives much to me and you
beautiful roses, lilacs, rose of sharon too.
Even red tomatoes we picked for the table
lets me know life is still sweet and stable.
There's many blessings if we look around
blue of sky, green grass of the ground.
Pretty shade trees growing firm and tall
yes, Lord we are thankful for them all.
The breakfast eaten together was a treat
the fruit so nutritious tasted very sweet.
Plans for today, as our strength holds up
many many blessings fill overflowing cup.
To God our Father we're humbly bowing
thanking Him for all for us He is allowing.
