Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Deeply Etched

Etched ever deeply
into my embittered heart,
self-inflicted scars.

Scars of loneliness,
'friends' all lacking empathy,
turning backs, deny.

Deny me justice,
no support forth-coming,
eyes reflect malice.

Malice afore-thought,
thus claimed the prosecution.
I am not guilty.

Guilty of caring,
guilty of knowing sorrow
...ever deeply etched.
