Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Forever

To see a world in a grain of sand
and a heaven in a wild flower,
hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour.

William Blake

Within limitless space,
human knowledge, but petty...
cannot conceive the magnitude of creation.

Our earth, in comparison,
one tiny pebble,
stretching the concepts with imagination.

Smaller than sand grains,
mere mortals are nothing,
the universe infinite, reaching never an end.

Past planets and galaxies,
into forever,
millions of light years in travel to spend.

Why then are we special,
why are we the chosen?
God placed care of His earth in the palms of our hands;

to men He gave knowledge,
potential for caring,
power to make choices, right from wrong understand.

Human life, but an eye-blink,
temporary at most,
like grass, by dawning may be dead and gone.

Ephemeral as a rainbow,
beauty of the wind,
while eternity carries on, and on, and on...
