When we look back
On things we've done,
On all our past mistakes,
How hard it is to fess up
And admit we caused
Heartaches.
When we're face to face
With the ones we've hurt,
Why is it so absurd,
That we sputter and stammer.

Wouldn't hearts
Be so much lighter,
