Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Australian Spring

Officially it now is spring,
a new warmth fills the air,
the joy de vivre in living things
which last week wasn't there.

All evergreens are greener still,
new growth, new buds, new shoots;
because Old Sol who's travelled south,
with God is in cahoots.

The birds, with song vociferous,
announce in one accord,
'Abundance bringing spring sweet spring
has come, so praise the Lord'

And soon will wild ducks on the lake
proudly bring forth their young,
declaring with their strident shouts,
'Look, look what spring has sprung.'

Lush mango trees prepare to fruit,
as peach, paw paw and plum,
their blossoms signal with the birds,
'Rejoice, for spring has come!'
