The Giants

'Giants'
that’s what stands
before you, as you gaze
in amazement at the incredible
girth of the mighty Redwoods.
The trees that soar above your wildest
dreams. Lean you head back; way
back, as you peer up to see how tall these
massive giants are. You’re in awe as you realize
the age of these beautiful enormous creations.
Take time to learn the history of the growth; the harvest ,
and how close these natural wonders came to being
exterminated, prior to the conscientious actions of a
few enlightened people, that knew the value
of the tree, verses the wood. Redwood National
And State Park is located on the West coast
of California near Crescent City .The forests
are full of more than just the
giants. Watch as elegant
Roosevelt elk graze
on the prairies, look
closely among forest
shrubbery for the
prevelent northern
red-legged frog
which is one of
four, along with
a toad that call
the forest home.
When you come to
Redwood National
State Park. you will
see not only Giant
trees, but be treated
to old growth, new
trees, two major rivers
and thirty seven miles
of the most beautiful
pristine, pure California
coastline. The Park is just
one of several designated
area of forests to save our
giant trees. Unfortunately,
the holes```````````through
the trees```````````were cut
before the`````````Parks were
created,````````````prohibiting
their own```````````destruction.
