Aussie Bloke's Weekend

On any weekend arvo,
Aussie blokes take in a game,
be it footie or aerial ping-pong.
Amber fluid's flowing, ankle biters yell
and a streaker in the crowd
is just a ning-nong.

I was at the Gabba watching
when the Broncos flogged the Dogs;
the flies were something shocking the whole day.
I was giving Aussie salutes,
'til me arm was gunna drop,
when a wasp decided he would like to play.

It landed on me nose,
me brother tried to whack it.
The wasp chomped on me conker
so I set up a racket.
The ambo crew came in,
attending to the din,
carried me out of the flamin' place
with a bag of ice on me face.

But she'll be apples in a week or so
when the swelling settles down.
Meanwhile, I'll join the circus,
they always need another clown.
