If I'm The Scorekeeper

One can get lost in a great big crowd,
Say fifty thousand or more.
If you're having a party, you think three's company.
How much better if there were four.

But, if it's a quiet night on the beach,
Watching the sunset by waters so blue,
And, then, if I'm the sole scorekeeper,
I'd insist the number be two.

Count 'em just two, me and you.
Two lips, two hearts beating together.
There would be no need for any other.
You say three's company, I say no, never.
