Sips of Life

Sips of Life

Sips of October taste bittersweet
Champagne of change bubbles over
Verdant greens fervor lost to October
Sad sighs peacefully glide in silent ballet

Smiles and tears tinge the air bittersweet
Crimson, chartreuse, brown, gray colored ballet
Harmoniously dwelling all the shades of life
Floating vicariously in the serenity of life passing by

Treasuring the beautiful sanctity of precious life
Sipping sweet memories from gratitude's cup
'Neath the falling leaves eyes gazing up
Sending to the heavens our whispered goodbyes

Among the bittersweet drops tasted over and over
Are sips of her light, her life we celebrate long past October
