Eternal Legacy
As light tumbles into the window
Spreads across fragile veneers
Droplets ride winds of heartache
Ocean mist amongst many tears
Fluttering like soft butterfly wings
'Pon sapphire wind tossed waves
Her gentle soul can be perceived
With many footsteps she's braved
Strength of a phoenix she soared
Bravery like no other I have known
Her shield bearing her loving heart
Now sadly with angels she's flown
Oh how she brought such radiance
Kept the Star hanging ever so bright
Through the years she welcomed all
With encouragement poets all unite
I wonder if she can see our salty tears
In heaven as she hangs all those stars
From that beautiful place she resides
A legacy remains; poet and more by far
