Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Vesuvius Beckons

VESUVIUS BECKONS
(THE DAY POMPEII FELL)

INNER GATES BECKON YOU
TO THE OBLIVIOUS TOWN
STREETS ARE LIVELY WHILE THEATERS
ROCKED WITH LAUGHTER
MERRY MAKERS DRINKING VESUVIAN WINE
DANCED IN A GOLDEN FORUM
TO THE TUNE OF BRONZE INSTRUMENTS
FIREWORKS LIT THE FACES OF STATUES AND
BRIGHT MOSIACS
AS SACRIFICES TOOK PLACE IN THE PLEASURE CITY
GATHERING IN MACELLLUMS TO TRADE
HOUSEHOLD ARTICLES
FESTIVAL IS BEGINNING, ALL IN A HOLIDAY
MOOD
STREETS ARE A GOLDEN AND RED BAZAAR
IN HONOR OF CAESAR’S BIRTHDAY
BUT DAY TURNED INTO NIGHT
WHEN THE MOUNTAIN CAME TO JOIN THEM
FOR NOW THEY REST ETERNALLY
IN RED TRAPPINGS…
