Anthem To Unity

We weren't born to follow ...to live life on our knees
So before you start to legislate ...listen to us please

We are your fellow country men..downcast, confused.. too long
Still we have a voice... a melody... please listen to our song

Our paychecks have grown smaller...our bills are overdue
So as one choir assembled we've come to sing for you

We watch our kids go hungry...hear prowlers roam the night
Watch more folks line up for food stamps.. That simply isn't right

We watch our old folk dying.. lacking needs to carry on
No one now cares about them.. nor listens to their song

We see teachers who are leaving and doctors who deny
Getting hard to find a reason as the days and months they fly

Vets who served this country.. sleep in street and dress in rags
Do you owe them something more.. never should they have to beg

For we'll all part of this nation... Once proud... still strong and free
So think about it senators... You've simply got to see

We were not born to follow... We've a anthem... hear our song
Lets unite people and government. Lets keep this nation strong

Where every man is cared about .. money is no longer king
No we're not born to follow.... But we sure were meant to sing

This anthem... Today!... Tomorrow! ...Forever!

God Bless America...United.. brave and strong
When very man is valued .. we all can sing along!

So we beg consideration.., Mr President.. Hear us sing
For if we lose what we got now.. well...we won't have anything.

My A Word... Anthem

please listen to our song
