Soaring

Take me to the bright clear air,
Where winged ones ride the streams,
Of currents crossing crystal blue skies,
Freely floating in my wildest dreams,

Let me soar, in breezes light,
Raise me high beyond the clouds,
Away from strife and this hectic life,
Escaping from the hurried crowds,

Whisk me off to nowhere then,
Breathing deep this carefree day,
Pure as winter’s fresh fallen snows,
Come with me, let’s drift away.
