Thank You

Giving Thanks ... I will always be grateful
to God and Mother Nature for the beauty
this world we live in every day

Therefore

When snowflakes kiss the mountaintop
With a canopy of lace
Where the lichen grows in crevices
And rainstorms carve the face

When the eagles fly across the sky
As the roseate sunlight glows
And the dew blesses the petals
Of the beautiful wild rose

When the white flecked ocean rolls along
It touches every shore
And in sparkling sand leaves treasures
From the ocean's boundless store

When a waterfall like a ponytail
Ore the jagged rocks slides down
And the thunder serenades us all
With terrorizing sound

When the leafy tree out in my yard
Lifts up its arms to pray
And the honey bee sips nectar
Then gaily flits away

When the apricot kissed sunset dies
When the twining stars come out
I'm spellbound and I think I know
What it is all about

For the butterfly that flutters
And the bluebird when it sings
Is just old Mother Nature
Paying tribute to her king

For unlike some other planet
Where its dark and cold and dank
God gave Mother Nature this one
So now she's giving thanks

Yes, she thanks her heavenly father
For the great creation day
As she shares her beauty with us
In this place we live and pray

So I bow my head in thankfulness
For the grace our father grants
While I feast my eyes on beauty
And watch Mother Nature dance
