You Never Told Me

Imagine..

When the mountains moved

And we were stretched far beyond our

Vivid imagination

You never told me you were hurting

Yet I could see the pain within your eyes

Each breath was whispered together

As silence demanded our tongue

For reality opened its hands and denial

Gave birth to circumstances

Beyond our control

Yet when the rose petals withered…

Enclosed within the pages of time,

The memory became etched in stone

And forever imbedded in my heart

Looking back, I saw your strength

I felt your fluttering of wings

The heavenly kisses of goodbye

Dancing on the nape of my neck

You were so tolerant of my weakness

As my heart was ripped from my sleeve

Yet when the Sunday kissed morning’s

Of thunder, returns with clouds

Pinned to the sky,

I see your beautiful face

And imagination returns softly

Into my pocket of love....Imagine
