Merry Christmas

Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem
Every inn was full, no place for them
Regardless, even tho she was with child
Repeatedly they were frought with denial
Yet they searched until they found a stable

Christ was born on that particular day
Herod would've killed him if he had his way
Riveting news, a babe born the King of Jews
In a manger, Mary laid Him on some sweet hay
Steadfastly, by their side, Joseph stood by
Toward the heavens, the brightest star in the sky
Made certain three wisemen had found their way
And their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh
Set precedent for the gift giving we know of today
