Pink Roses

There were roses in the gardens
I picked each one for you
And there they sat my darling,
Like a picture perfect view

Sweet roses lined up one by one
Their scent so bitter sweet
Freshly grown with love and care
Then watered, til complete

Their colour of the softest pink
So precious pure to touch
They spoke a song of sunset love
I longed to share so much

And so I found some ribbon
And I tied them one by one
Left for you my darling
In the garden of the sun

Sweet roses, every one for you
To capture in a vase
And bottle every moment spent
Just like this perfect love of ours
