Love Eternal

Devotion for his sweetheart,
He stood there by her side,
With vows to hold her hand,
Through good and bad,
He cherished his brand new bride,
When she gave him children,
He upheld his part,
And held their hands through
Good and bad,
And loved them with all his heart,
With all their years together,
He doted on his wife,
And held her hand through
Good and bad,
As they shared their wonderful life,
In time, her body weakened,
He prayed for her to be strong,
And held her hand through the
Good and bad,
But knew she wouldn’t have that long,
Devotion for his sweetheart,
He loved this woman so,
And held her hand
The day she died,
He would never let her go,
Now by her grave he whispers,
'When I get to the other side,
I’ll hold your hand forever,
My love',
'You are my Eternal Bride'.
