My Life as a Poem

Womb bursting shouts declaring…
My arrival with deafening scream
Upside down for a resounding smack
My procurement obtained from a dream

Chattering voices, inquisitive eyes looking
A swaddling cloth soon arrived
Nine months in the warmest of darkness
My exhilaration had surely survived

My first words were to be spoken
As I moved to the head of the class
“I’m dizzy from all this commotion,
And who’s the clown that smacked my ass”?

Years have passed since conception
Each day was a thousand years
Enjoyed as such in misery and pain
With love of mystery and tears

This will be where my shadow falls
At peace with my fellow man
For there exists a power above
That exalts in His glorious plan

The cards have been shuffled and folded
The gambling ends with a cost
Yet, with the faith of a mustard seed
Eternity will never be lost

So ramble and scramble your emotions
Desire that of what you may
Nothing of gold can stay forever
Its a manna from heaven day
