Ghost Writers In The Sky
Lyric Rewrite of
Johnny Cash Ghost Riders In The Sky

This old cowgirl went riding out one dark and windy day
Against a fence I rested as I went along my way
When all at once a mighty sight of Cafe poets she saw
A'plowin' through the Starlite skies and up a cloudy draw

Their pens were still on fire and their paper was of steel
Their smiles were bright and shiny and their great poems I could feel
A bolt of joy went through me as they wrote across the sky
I saw the poets comin' hard and I gave a joyful cry

Yippie yi Yoooooo
Yippie yi Yaaaaay
Ghost Writers in the sky

Their faces smiled their eyes were bright , gold pens were all set
They're write'n hard just for the love and they aint finished yet
Cause they've got to write forever on that page up in the sky
With pens shoot'n fire as they write on hear me cry

As the riders loped on by me I heard one call my name
If you want to save your pen from Hell and writing on our page
Then cowgirl follow God's ways today or with us you ride
Trying to void the Devil's word, across these Starlite skies

Yippie yi Yoooooo
Yippie yi Yaaaaay

Ghost Writers in the sky

Ghost Writers in the sky

This is dedicated to the three men of Starlite
that had such a huge impact on my life
and totally inspired me
and taught me the true meaning of
Just for the love of it
All three of you are so respected
and missed by me.
Albert Victor truly taught me about
writing Just because I love to
Frank Pellegrino taught me to write
the contents of my heart and
to write for me.
Dale Hillard aka Sky Brush taught
me how to see a picture
let it become part of me
and then express it...

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
