Dear Gina

Dear Gina..

My advice to you is as follows...

Kick Ass....Take Names Later!

P.S. I wrote you a poem

Today she leaves for Old Baghdad
Leaves him home to muddle through
So one way or the other
That's exactly what he'll do

For after all he was a Marine
God knows they made them tough
Still when it's time for her to go
Can he be tough enough?

Thank God , no kids to care for
Just him and the dog alone
Unless you count the parrot
Who calls their place his home

The family , we'll stand with him
To help him bear the pain
For tho to us it seems a loss
For America it's a gain

She's strong ,she's smart, she's loyal
Well trained in what to do
For more then twenty years she's served
And worn the navy blue

Always knew that this might happen
Never knew the time or place
Still when you work for Uncle Sam
You paste a big smile on your face

Cause once you got your orders
There ain't much you can do
Just pack up that old ditty bag
Then fly across the blue

Hit the ground a running
Do the best you can
Kick ass and take names later
So they better understand

That you ain't no puny woman
Tho you may stand five foot two
Just weigh a hundred soaking wet
There are people who love you

Who are standing in your shadow
That you know have got your back
That know you're helping keep them safe
From some cowardly atack

So may our love protect you
May the Good Lord see you through
And in one way or another
We'll be waiting dear, for you

To hurry back home safely!

Remember to pack our hearts in your ditty bag...

Dedicated to My Daughter-In- Law

GINA ....Then

She leaves today for one year tour of duty
As The Information Officer
For the Combined Armed Forces
Serving in that region.

Gina .... Now

She has returned home and is
still currently serving her country
as a leader in the Cyber Security
Division of the United States Navy
From a base in Maryland...
