A Rose Still Blooms
A Rose Still Blooms|
I feel the warmth of morning's sun
Casting hope within the shadows
Of doubt…and it makes me believe
Perhaps somewhere a rose still blooms
And its promise of tomorrow
Is this gift of dawn..azure skies
Sitting beneath these crystal skies
Embraced am I by risen sun
I wonder if my tomorrow
Will be free of haunting shadows
Free of life's guilt.. is faith that blooms
The reason why I still believe?
I must have hope… I must believe
In the beauty of morning skies
And the rose of love that still blooms,
Its petals open, worshipping sun
With summer's blush, autumn's shadow..
And questions for tomorrow.
Will the sun warm my tomorrow?
Will I still have faith and believe
Or will I succumb to shadows
That once blotted my hopeful skies?
Can I believe in you, dear sun,
Your promise that a rose still blooms?
Grant me the gift of hope that blooms,
Dear friend, give me a tomorrow
As I once knew.. give me the sun
That warmed me and made me believe
In the magic of morning skies
And the fading of its shadows.
Take them away, these dark shadows
That dim the view of faith that blooms
Beneath the blue of warming skies..
Let its rose be my tomorrow
And its promise what I believe
As I gaze upon you, dear sun
O warming sun fade the shadows!
Let me believe a rose still blooms,
In tomorrow, and morning skies.
