Once upon a silver moon,
I was bound in a trance,
When this masked prince approached me,
And charmingly asked for his dance.
Heartily, ingenuously I agreed,
Bewitched by those deep brown eyes.
It was after all my one in a billion chance,
So what else could be the price?
Being close to him, wrapped in his strong arms,
Seemed inconceivable yet it felt so right,
It was all that I could wish for,
Only for a fleeting, enchanted night.
Dancing in and out of dreams,
The feeling was sublime.
I was lost in thought, lost in words,
And completely lost in mine.
I longed to stay much longer,
But then I heard the clock’s chime.
And so, without a word I left him,
Only to see him again, next time.
And so once upon a silver moon,
That’s how it all began.
I’ve been lost in the spell of my dreams,
Spun by my heart’s Never-Neverland.
